Operational Clarity & Value
Most fund managers are visionary dealmakers—not back-office administrators. Yet they often get buried in investor onboarding, compliance filings, reporting deadlines, and fund governance. FundOps Partners serves as the fractional COO and operational backbone of the fund, freeing operators to focus on what they do best: sourcing, executing, and scaling great investments.
Day-to-day operations include investor onboarding and compliance (KYC/AML), capital call coordination, distribution tracking, fund accounting oversight, investor communications, reporting cycles, portal management, and regulatory filings. We ensure smooth, compliant operations that meet institutional standards without burdening the fund sponsor.
The earlier, the better. Ideally, we're involved before the first close, during the fund formation stage. This allows us to structure the fund for long-term scalability and investor alignment from day one, and help ensure the fund is set up for compliance with 506(c) capital raising exemptions and operational best practices.
Common missteps include poor fund structure, improper fee modeling, lack of audit readiness, non-compliant investor onboarding, and delayed reporting. These issues can scare away investors and even lead to regulatory risk. FundOps helps you avoid these by embedding experienced fund operators directly into your fund's infrastructure.
Capital Raising Support
FundOps is not a broker-dealer and does not “sell” securities. However, under SEC Rule 506(c), we are legally permitted to engage in capital raising if we are named as key executives or general partners in the Operating Agreement, provided we perform substantial operational duties. We meet this requirement by handling more than 50% of the fund’s day-to-day operations. This enables us to compliantly support capital raising efforts alongside the sponsor.
